Jewellery and possessions

We always seek our clients guidance as to whether jewellery such as rings or necklaces should remain on or be returned, and it is usual for jewellery to be removed when cremation takes place.

Clothing is disposed of unless we receive instructions otherwise, upon those instructions we will endeavour to have the clothing laundered and returned to you prior to the funeral.

Momentous and small items of significance may be placed in the coffin in the case of burial or cremation, we would appreciate it if you informed us of your intention to do so and whether the items are to remain with the deceased at the time of burial or cremation.
